Hello my loves! Who is coming with me this Saturday night to the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale??
If you are in town, I’d love for you to join me for a super fun night at the W Hotel’s rooftop Wet Deck! We will be celebrating an unforgettable experience of art and fashion. This is a multi-faceted event with a three-part act. There will also be two runway shows where three designers will be showcasing their swimwear line. And: pop-up boutiques, cocktails and music. The event begins at 7 PM … be on time!
Make sure you RSVP! Use the code ‘ANA” for discount tickets to the event. VIP tickets are also available.
I am so excited to share this event one more time! This is the third year that I am involved with Fashion Gives Back, a night of fashion, music & fun benefiting the local children’s hospital. This event, as well as the foundation has become a truly important organization in my life and in my heart. Everything that we do, is to improve the lives of the patients of this hospital. This event takes place during the month of September of every year, and we literally begin preparing for it around January / February. There is a lot of effort behind it, so it is beautiful to see the community coming together for the children.
Together with the Hosting Committee we have successfully improved this event throughout the years, so much so that for the first time we are doing it at a new & gorgeous venue – The Moore Building! (The previous years we hosted the fashion show inside of Neiman Marcus). Take a look at the design of the inside of the building. The modern “Elastika” installation was created by London-based architect Zaha Hadid, but the building itself was built in 1921 as a furniture showroom.
We are lucky to have big sponsors that continue to help make this event a success.
The duo that created the brand MENCHEN TOMAS is one of my favorites (Olga Menchen & Francesc Tomas). MENCHEN TOMAS opened its first store in Barcelona in 1997, and their products are manufactured in Barcelona as well. I always look forward to seeing their collections during 080 Barcelona Fashion Week. Their newest designs are called “PASSIONS,” and include tons of silk (I loved it!), especially the purple silk dress! I would love to own their entire Fall / Winter 15 Collection. Check it out!
080 BARCELONA Fashion Week started today!!! During the next few days Spanish designers will be showcasing their latest creations for Fall / Winter 15 on the runway. I have been wearing the brand MANGO for years. I still have my closet full of MANGO pieces that I bought when I lived in Barcelona!!! MANGO’s collections are always cool, and have accessible prices. There is a MANGO Outlet in Barcelona that I went to at least once a month as well. Oh how I miss it!
MANGO’s F/W’15 Collection is trendy, stylish and hippie. I noticed a lot of suede, lace, and long boho chic dresses and skirts. People that love feminine and bohemian outfits will love this collection. Here are my top six outfit combinations.
Good evening beauties! Here is a quick round up of photos from FGB where I so happy to be one of the MCs. This haute couture event was organized by the Hosting Committee of MCHF and it was held at Neiman Marcus. I became an ambassador of MCHF in 2013, and love the mission behind this organization. The most wonderful part about the fundraisers that we host is that 100% of the proceeds go to benefit the patients and families of the local children’s hospital.
The white & navy gown that I wore, I purchased in Cartagena, Colombia when I visited two months ago for one of my college girlfriend’s wedding. We saw this dress on a window display as we were quickly walking down one of the streets one night, and I gasped when I saw it. It was a bit pricey, but I figured I would save it for special occasions.
I am so excited to share that this year I am part of the Hosting Committee for the Annual Fashion Gives Back Event that will be held at Neiman Marcus in the Village of Merrick Park!
Together with the committee we have been working for months on putting together a fashion show that will benefit the patients at the local children’s hospital. MCH provides advanced care to hundreds of children in the nation. Nine of their pediatric specialty services are ranked among the best in the country and MCH is nationally ranked in all 10 pediatric sub specialties. In addition, Miami Children’s Cancer Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit serve as top programs in the United States.
This is the 2nd Annual Fashion Gives Back Event hosted by the Miami Children’s Health Foundation. Guests will be able to enjoy a fashion show showcasing the latest trends, as well as cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
At Miami Children’s Health Foundation we have a strong commitment to improving the lives of the children in our community, we advocate for children’s issues, and serve as community ambassadors on behalf of MCH.
Here are a few photos of the event. Thanks for reading! xoxo
