Thanksgiving | Pumpkin Bread

Hi!  Here is the recipe for the Pumpkin Bread that I baked.  Everyone at my parent’s loved it!  


  1. 16 ounces canned unsweetened pumpkin
  2. 3 cups sugar
  3. 1 cup vegetable oil
  4. 4 eggs
  5. 3 1/2 cups flour
  6. 2 teaspoons baking soda
  7. 2 teaspoons salt
  8. 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  9. 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves (*)
  10. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  11. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  12. 2/3 cup water

(*) I totally forgot to purchase these!  My bread came out great anyway… I just added a little bit of allspice to make up for that…


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Butter and flour 2 standard size loaf pans.  Mix the sugar and oil.  Add eggs (lightly beaten) and pumpkin to the mix, stir…  

In a separate bowl combine all dry ingredients.  Blend dry ingredients and water into the wet mixture.

Pour equally into the two loaf pans.  Bake 30 – 40 minutes.  Allow to cool before eating…
