Hi loves! Today I am sharing a new skin care product that I got to try last week: La Forêt Daytime Intensive Skin Revitalizer. I always welcome skin care products, especially face or hand moisturizers. The two reasons for that are that I have very dry hands, and because I like to moisturize my face once daily. A friend of mine was in town for a couple of days, and brought me a product from one of the cosmetics companies that he works for. So happy!
This moisturizer was created for delicate skin (perfect!), and it serves as an intensive therapy to repair your dry skin. I have been using it on my face & neck area, and I love that it feels very smooth, light and velvety. Although the SPF is not high (it is 8 and the typical is 15), it’s better than products that have none. I try to always protect my skin from the sun. You can check out more of their products at www.LaForetCosmetics.com.
Today I am sharing my personal experience with Urban Decay products. I am all for trying new make-up, so when a friend of mine introduced me to a few Urban Decay products I started trying them immediately. Because I currently have a 9 to 5 office job (that requires meeting with clients on a weekly basis!), I cannot be retouching my make-up every 5 minutes, I need products that last till the end of the day and do not run off. This is why I love the 24/7 glide on eye pencils the most! These eye pencils last until bed-time!
Another product that I found very useful is the All-Nighter setting spray. It is meant to be the last step in your make-up routine, to ensure that the make-up on your entire face stays on. I like that it is very lightweight and that it prevents my make-up from melting off. Regarding eye liners, I always prefer brown over black (for my skin tone), unless I am doing smokey eyes, or a dramatic / intense look for a night out. The “rockstar” eye pencil color is a darkish shiny brown, exactly what I like.
The Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes are amazing! For everyday use I prefer the Glinda palette, because the shades are lighter than the Theodora palette. I always put on the eyeshadow primer first, to ensure the color stays put as well. The Big Faty Black Mascara gives my eye-lashes tons of volume. By the way, I always prefer regular mascara over waterproof mascara as I personally find the latter is often difficult to fully remove, and I do not like leaving make-up residue on my eye lashes.
(FYI: Urban Decay is a cruelty-free brand that does not test its products on animals).
Today I am sharing a few of the skin care products that I purchased a couple of months ago when I visited Israel. While in Israel, we visited the Dead Sea Region(*), and nearby I found a store (overlooking the Dead Sea shores) that sold an infinite amount of AHAVA creams, so I decided to bring a few back with me. I had heard of AHAVA products but I had never purchased one.
AHAVA creams are made with active dead sea minerals. These minerals are found in the Dead Sea are supposed to rejuvenate your skin. They are paraben free, allergy tested, free of animal testing, produced without petroleum, and approved for sensitive skin. Wish I had purchased more!
(*) The Dead Sea is a salt lake bordered by Jordan to the east, and Israel and the West Bank to the west. Its surface is 1,407 feet below sea level (429 meters). The Dead Sea has become a location for health research due to the mineral content of the water seems to have positive effects on health.
Happy Friday ladies! Today I wanted to share a few basic skin care products that I use on a daily basis. The bottom two Cetaphil products I have been using for at least over a decade! Prior to using make-up remover to take off my lip-stick, eye-shadow, foundation, etc, I like to wash my face with warm water and Cetaphil’s Gentle Skin Cleanser. I love that it feels very soft for my skin. Then I remove all excess make-up with either Klorane (blue product above) or Neutrogena’s Oil Free Make-Up remover. Both are for sensitive eyes (this is very important!).
For my under eye area I use La Roche-Posay’s Redermic Eye [C]. It helps reduce the look of deep wrinkles and also reinforce skin’s support structure (I use this once daily). It is not very cheap but you can conveniently purchase it at most drugstores. From La Roche-Posay I also love the Thermal Water, it soothes and softens the skin that has been irritated by the sun, while protecting against skin aging.
