We spent Mother’s Day at the New York Botanical Garden, and I must say that it is impressive!! It has colorful flowers and lots of greenery, and it is just a little over an hour from NYC. I highly recommend it!

New York Botanical Garden
We enjoyed perfect weather on Mother’s Day at the New York Botanical Garden. The NYBG covers 250 acres with over one million plants and 50 curated gardens.
I highly recommend booking online tickets in advance to avoid waiting in line under the sun. Then when you arrive, check in at the ticket counter and ask for a physical ticket for later access to the tram. It’s good to have it in case you need it.

I knew we’d be walking around quite a bit, so I wore an eyelet dress and these white sneakers, my go-to for comfort! They are simple, chic, and go with everything! I completed the look with this denim jacket, which is fantastic.
There is a restaurant inside the garden, Hudson Garden Grill, where we enjoyed an early dinner with our little girl. The outdoor area is lovely, and their indoor area is spacious.
What day is the New York Botanical Garden free?
NYC residents can get free grounds-only admission on Wednesdays, and all other visitors between 10 and 11 am. Proof of residency is required.
