HOW TO MIX HIGH & LOW FASHION
Happy Sunday! Today I am sharing an elegant look that I usually wear on Sundays for brunch with family or friends. Red has always been my favorite color, so when I spotted this skirt I decided to bring one with me! The conservative length of it gives the outfit the perfect feminine and sophisticated flair. I paired my skirt with a silk blouse I’ve had for a while, black accessories and basic nude pumps.
This look is an example of how I love mixing high and low fashion together: Ferragamo & Jimmy Choo + Banana Republic & Forever 21. In my opinion, there is value to mixing high and low cost fashion in your wardrobe. Inexpensive fashion allows everyone the chance to purchase trendy clothing items that will soon be out of season, at a low or moderate price points. The craftsmanship, materials or quality might not be the highest, but we get to keep our wardrobe fresh for less!
My Red Pleated Skirt is $ 20, a total bargain, and let’s be honest here, am I really going to wear a bright red skirt more than once a week?! On the other hand, my Clutch is from the latest Ferragamo collection, made in Italy, and and at a higher price point. This bag is an item that you can repeat every night out – it is an investment piece.
Be Savvy: if you are going to splurge, do so on items that you will get tons of use out of it, season after season, like handbags, coats, or jackets!
Hope you are enjoying your Sunday!!!
