SHOP THE POST:
If you ever wondered whether you can get a gorgeous bronzy glow without the sun, this post is for you! Let me start by saying two things: (1) I’ve been using these products for many years, so I’ve gotten pretty good at applying them, and (2) I wish I had discovered these bronzers when I was in high-school, to avoid sitting for hours by the pool in order to tan my body. Protecting my skin from the sun’s damaging rays has become incredibly important to me, so I am now way more careful during June & July and I try to avoid the sun from 12 PM to 5 PM! If you’re interested in what products I like to use to look tanned all year-round, check out my self-tanning routine below!
My Favorite Products & How To Apply Them
Vita Liberata’s Body Blur Instant HD Skin Finish: I am a true fan of this bronzer, and have been using it for many years! The color that I love the most is “latte light.” I apply it with this applicator mitt that is perfect for blending the product, preventing streaks, and is only $4.50. You will need to massage the product into your skin in a circular motion. I always apply the tanner to my body in sections, first the legs, then the torso, and finally the arms. I apply this bronzer to my body, not my face. When using this bronzer, keep in mind that a little goes a long way. I also get dressed in loose clothing after I have applied it on my body (preferably dark lounge clothes).

Jergen’s Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer: In the winter or when I want a lighter tan, I use this moisturizer that I apply immediately after I get out of the shower. It will give you a natural light bronze color that is great for fair skin. I apply this bronzer to my body, not my face. It is not necessary to use an applicator mitt to apply this product, but you will need to wash your hands with soap as soon as you finish! I wait at 5-10 minutes before getting dressed.

Tanologist Face + Body Drops: For my face, I like to mix 1 drop of these tanning drops together with my facial moisturizer before applying it directly onto my face. The more drops you use, the deeper the glow.
Guerlain’s Terracotta Healthy Glow Powder: So this is a bit of a splurge, but it will last you years. I know that I’ve shared this powder before, and here it is once again! If you prefer to skip the tanning face drops, I recommend you try this gorgeous and vibrant powder with a unique blend of sun-kissed tones, it is my absolute favorite. It is available in four tones: Deep Golden, Natural Cool, Natural Warm, and Deep Cool. You can apply the powder to your cheeks, collarbone, and shoulders.

As I shared above, if I had discovered these products ten years ago, I would have avoided lots of unnecessary exposure to the sun’s harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. Please keep in mind that most sunless tanning products don’t contain sunscreen. So if you plan on spending time outdoors, sunscreen remains essential. I love to use Innisfree’s Daily UV Defense Sunscreen on my face because it is non-greasy, lightweight, and hydrating. Some of the ingredients include: green tea, cica, and sunflower seed oil. I usually take a dime-size amount and I spread it evenly onto my face every day before going outside to walk my pups!
