CHÂTEAU DE HAUTEFORT

Have you seen the 1998 movie ‘Ever After: A Cinderella Story’ with Drew Barrymore? It was filmed in the Dordogne region of France, including this and another château.

Château de Hautefort stands on the position of an earlier 12th-century chateau, and this one was built in the middle of the 17th century.

I toured château inside and out, and loved it! It overlooks the Auvezere Valley and Hautefort Village, and it is surrounded by impressive French-style formal gardens. Not only is it listed as a historical monument, it is one of the most prestigious chateaux in the South West of France. If you are ever traveling through France by car, I suggest you stop by and visit this château.

About a decade ago, I visited Château Chenonceau, and on this trip, I was happy to see a few more. They are definitely worth a visit, and take 2-3 hours to tour them around.

We traveled to France for my sister’s wedding and spent the week prior to the event exploring the countryside. We also stayed in Paris, here’s my list of the top things to do in the city!

Where is Château de Hautefort located?

In Dordogne in southwest France, between the Loire Valley and Pyrenees mountains.

How far is Château de Hautefort from Paris?

This Château de Hautefort is located 289 miles (465 km) from Paris via A20, and the drive takes five hours with normal driving conditions.

Is the castle in Ever After real?

The castle in the movie Ever After is definitely real, and you can tour it in person in France. Château de Hautefort was the castle used in the filming of the movie Ever After with Drew Barrymore, and it is gorgeous and worth a visit.

We flew to France for my sister’s wedding, and we are currently staying in Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche, a town in the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine in France.

During this trip, we are visiting this stunning château (castle), and spending a week in Paris. Be sure to take a look at my travel guide for the top things to do in Paris!

Here is another look at my collaboration with NAKD Fashion. In order to soften the rectangular shape of these wide-leg trousers, I decided to add a feminine ruffled bodysuit that accentuates a little bit of my body’s silhouette.

The part that I loved the most about the pants was the paper-bag waist detail. By tucking in any slim top inside of them, you can highlight that 🙂

These comfy trousers can easily be worn with any color top, and have been perfect here in France where you can feel the Fall weather at night…

Buenos días! ¿Cómo están? Aquí hay otro look de mi colaboración con NAKD Fashion. Para suavizar la forma rectangular de estos pantalones anchos, decidí agregarles un bodysuit femenino con voladitos que resalta un poco la silueta de mi cuerpo.

La parte que más me gustó de los pantalones fue el detalle de la cintura. Se puede resaltar usando cualquier top ajustado 🙂

Estos pantalones son ultra cómodos, combinan con todos los colores, y han sido perfectos aquí en Francia donde ya se siente el clima del otoño por la noche … Espero que tengan una linda semana, y hasta pronto, xoxo.
