How I Love To Style a White Lace Pencil Skirt
SKIRT | CAMISOLE | BAG: Ferragamo | SHOES
GET THE LOOK:
Happy Wednesday! I thought it would be a great way to return to my Work Wear Wednesday series with a lace pencil skirt! While I love the usual classic black, navy, or gray skirt, I adore a feminine and elegant alternative. My favorite way to style this skirt is with a silky neutral camisole.
This camisole is a favorite of mine, it has the most delicate jewelry straps and it will elevate any look! During early Fall, you can wear this outfit with a cool black blazer for a super sophisticated ensemble.

How to Dress Like a Girl Boss
To me, being a Girl Boss is about being self-assured, confident, ambitious and independent, it’s not necessarily about being a boss to others, I see it more about being the boss of your own life. And while there is no strict formula to dressing as a powerful woman, nothing says #GirlBoss like black leather.
My personal approach to the girl boss style is a mix of leather and lace. There’s something about mixing an edgy skirt with a feminine fabric that totally gets me into Girl Boss character. One of my suggestions is to invest in a faux-leather skirt that fits you like a glove – they are fashionable, trendy, and wearable. If you have no idea where to find one, start at Guess, I love how they fit! and their prices are great.
If you are a gal that prefers the more traditional look, here are three easy tips for styling outfits when you need to look professional:
(1) Choose staple items: these are those timeless classics that never go out of style. For the most part, your staples are going to be your solid colors. You really can’t go wrong when you buy clothing items in black, white, beige, navy, or grey. Keep in mind that prints come and go but those colors will match with almost anything. Every girl boss should own: a black pencil skirt, grey or black pleated pants, and white or black blouses (at a minimum).
(2) Accessories: To Add or Not to Add: these can either make or break an outfit like this, so choose wisely. I prefer clean looks so I stay away from accessories most of the time, except maybe earrings. When it comes to looking professional, less is always more.
(3) No need to be perfect, just be polished: this includes nice hair, a good skin care regimen, and a bit of make-up. A true girl boss knows how to take care of herself from top to bottom. Make it a point to dress well and look put-together at all times.
I believe in wearing what makes you feel like a boss! Always be authentic to who you are, so that you can look and feel comfortable everywhere you go. 😉 Have a wonderful weekend, lots of love!

Red Pencil Skirt for Work
AN ORANGE APPEAL
A Red Pencil Skirt for Work
Here is a summer work outfit that I am loving so much! I am continuously on the hunt for business casual pieces that I can wear to work while looking lovely, feminine and comfortable. And I also try to find items that can be worn after work to either a Happy-Hour or a networking event that I may have that day. If you are a 9 to 5 girl that wears the usual black / grey / navy outfits why not try an outfit that brightens up the work space a little during the summer months? There is something about this Crochet Overlay Skirt that is so lady-like and feminine, especially when paired with a pastel top.
To create this look I wanted to match the bottom to a top with a similar shade of orange / red. With my coral blouse it looked great, so it was a perfect match. A nude or white color top would totally work with this skirt too! Then I had two options: either a black or a white blazer, and both looked good but I decided to go with white – and loved it.
If you wear pencil skirts as much as I do, you will love this one, and considering the price of it – it is a total bargain! Even if you are not a 9 to 5 working gal, you can wear this versatile skirt during the weekend with nude heels and a silky white top.
Finally, if you like coral tops and would like ideas on how to style them, take a look at how I have previously styled mine with floral trousers (here) or with a mini-skirt (here)! xox.
A Black & White Classic Look
[Click on ‘Continue Reading’ to see the full post]
Black and white is a classic and timeless combination. I am always looking for pencil skirts to wear on a daily basis to work, and I have loved styling this one each time I wear it. Not only are pencil skirts ultra feminine, they are empowering, and a must-have for girls that like the ‘girl boss’ look. That is one of the main reasons why women wear them to the office so much – a pencil skirt is a style that flatters every woman.
The look I am wearing is simple, minimal yet still glamorous. I kept everything else in the outfit black, to make the pattern of the skirt stand out. You can also pair a black & white skirt with any solid color blouse, give it a try. (I like it with red, fuchsia, bright blue, or white.
And I also wore this skirt with a green blouse for St. Patrick’s Day!). Open toe pumps are a must when wearing a pencil skirt – they complete the look and give it a lady-like edge. If its for work I always prefer these shoes or closed pumps, otherwise heels are okay. By the way, this ZARA top is on sale for $ 19.99!

WORK STYLE: GOLD CARDI & PENCIL SKIRT
Hi babes, happy monday, I wish you all got to rest! Today I am sharing a soft toned outfit for work that I repeat quite often. An all neutral outfit works fantastic during the spring time. To create the look I paired a basic pencil skirt with a nude top and a short cardigan.
I have gotten so much use out of this cute little cardigan. It has a glittery / shiny color (you can shop the same exact cardigan below), making the outfit super elegant and sophisticated.
Now let’s talk about the shoes – they have silver thread on the top – and match so perfectly with the skirt – incredible! Both the skirt and the shoes have an identical design. I hope that this post inspires you to create an office look that is other than the usual all black or black + white.
What do you think? Hope you have a wonderful start to the week… this is the last full week of May… A reminder to make the most of each and every day!!! Thanks for reading, xox.

Silk & Eyelets for Spring
Hello girls! This outfit that I am sharing today combines all of my favorites: silk, embroidery, and eyelets. I have an obsession with skirts (it’s pretty serious, I do!), and I think it’s my grandmother’s fault!! I grew up hearing her say that ladies should always wear skirts or dresses. Even during the cold winter she would wear skirts… long and made of wool. I also need skirts daily for work, specially pencil skirts, so over the years I have created my own collection, in all colors, shapes and sizes. This one is from Ann Taylor (I got the smallest size and asked my seamstress to tighten it so it would not fall). I paired it with a silk top for a polished & very feminine look. So pretty and ladylike!

¡Hola chicas! Super elegante!!
