The loveliest Little White Dress!
10 Reasons For a Black Maxi Dress
Dress: // Bag: Calvin Klein // Shoes: Nine West // Sunglasses: Fendi // Lipstick: Urban Decay
When talking about fashion trends that never go out of style – minimalism is definitely one of them. A sleek casual black dress lays the groundwork for this type of trend. The color ‘black’ is one of the common choices for the minimalist because it helps in creating a timeless look that you can repeat over an over. A minimal aesthetic is always refreshing – as are simple shapes and clean lines. For today’s post I chose one basic and functional fashion item that I love for the summer. Take a look below at all the reasons for why having one (or two!) casual black long dresses in your closet is always a good idea!
TEN REASONS FOR A BLACK MAXI DRESS:
- DAYTIME TO NIGHTTIME – switch from nude to black heels and you are ready in less than a minute!
- MAXIMUM COMFORT – loose and light to wear
- ‘BLACK’ SLIMS YOU DOWN – the color black elongates and makes you appear thinner
- EASY TO DRESS IT UP – wrap a sparkly shawl around your shoulders or a jacket
- PERFECT FOR HOT WEATHER – allows your body to breathe during high temperatures
- NO NEED TO MATCH IT – toss it on, zero time required to put together an outfit
- FEMININE – maxi dresses are ladylike and flirty
- EASY MAINTENANCE – most are wrinkly free (super important!) & machine washable
- EFFORTLESS STYLE – casual yet trendy & sleek
- AFFORDABLE – available at any price range
Treat yourself to this minimalist essential, then skip the accessories and opt for a clean look. Remember that Less is More! Otherwise wear it with barely-there bracelets, necklaces, or earrings. And as usual, wear the dress with confidence! Feel free to share your thoughts, xo!
THE GINGHAM STYLE | ZARA
Hey beauties! Here is an ultra-stylish way to wear gingham. I often stay away from this pattern but this blouse was too delicate, feminine & adorable to pass! And who else is loving the off-the-shoulder trend? This ZARA Gingham Blouse combines it all: off the shoulders, puff-ball sleeves, and bow detail, making it all the more delicate. I must confess that I wear off-the-shouler tops even when they are not in style, simply because I love how flattering they are for women. I have always been the person that wears certain trends even when they are not a ‘hot trend’ – and this is one of them. Also, I’ve noticed that the material of the blouse does not wrinkle too easily (so important!). I matched it with super basic white trousers. This look is perfect for a Sunday brunch with friends… I wore it to a birthday party. For the best chic look, pair this gingham blouse with navy, white or off-white pants. I hope everyone is having a lovely week! xx

An Everyday Floral Lace Shift Dress
This is one pink crochet dress that I wear probably once a month, I have gotten more use out of it than I anticipated! (to work, to multiple events & to parties). I am wearing a size “small” and it fits pretty comfortably. This one usually goes out of stock quickly, and then it is brought back in a similar soft color. At the moment it is also available in white with short sleeves – this is perfect since the Summer is about to start! 🙂 Yet it does not matter what color you get it in, it is a beautiful & unique dress! This outfit will keep you looking chic all day long. Thanks for reading, lots of love!

Happy Tuesday! Here are this week’s Top Finds! A week ago I went to H&M to look for a specific top, and I ended up trying on so many summer outfit combinations, and purchasing a skirt & various different tops. So I decided to do this week’s Top Finds post from H&M. Most of the items have a ‘hippie chic’ flair to them – which is currently the style for the Spring & Summer seasons. Take a look at all these items – the best part is that they are comfortable, super cute, and affordable. For example: Item 4 is on sale for $6.99, Item 6 is on sale for $17.99, Item 9 is on sale for $12.99, and Item 11 is on sale for $17.99 (does not get better than this!). Check them out!

BASIC SUMMER ESSENTIALS
With summer right around the corner, it is time to start checking out a few of the essentials. Big straw hats are a huge trend right now AND they protect your skin from the sun (a must for avoiding future wrinkles). You can look super chic and protect your face at the same time – double win. When it comes to beach bags, I always prefer a neutral color so that it matches with any bathing suit color. Speaking of bathing suits… it is not always easy to find a one-piece that is cute, but here is a floral one-piece that I love!! Another accessory that adds a lot of style to your outfit while protecting your eyes from UV rays are sunglasses (here are two adorable pairs that I like a lot). And remember to wear sunscreen! (I usually wear any Neutrogena sunscreen product, I like Neutrogena because they are not greasy – which is important when applying it to your face). Hopefully this coming weekend there will be no rain so that I can go down to the beach! There is something so soothing about listening to the sound of the ocean waves. I linked the items from this post below, together with 8 other super cute beach bags, check them out!

A White, Coral & Ivory Summer Outfit
A White, Coral & Ivory Summer Outfit
Happy Saturday! This post was supposed to go up yesterday, but because of the shorter work week, I worked longer hours Tuesday – Friday & did not even make it to the gym! I missed my favorite zumba & boot-camp class! (That will get fixed this week).
The entire month of May has been quite busy, my cousins and a few friends flew in from out of town. This is one of the outfits that I wore during their time here. To create the look I paired a skirt & a top that I’ve had for a while. I usually wear the skirt with a sheer white sleeveless blouse (for a very delicate look), but I got bored with that, so I was trying to brighten the skirt up.
Why didn’t I think of this combination before is what I want to know!?! White + Coral + Ivory look fantastic together. To match the soft tone of the outfit I finished the look with nude/gold accesories…
What’s not to love about these neutral skirts?
