Blue Toile Print Dress
My fiancé and I are currently celebrating our first year in New York! Exactly one year ago TODAY, we packed our rental van, and started a 1,280 mile drive from Florida to New York, with our pups!
We figured we’d make a road-trip out of it, so we reserved pet-friendly hotels in three cities along the east coast. As we got closer to Jacksonville, we learned that a mandatory evacuation (Hurricane Dorian) was ordered in the first two cities in our itinerary!!
We literally stayed 12-24 hours ahead of the hurricane the entire trip. If you’ve ever traveled with two pups, you know that finding hotels can be tricky. Because of the hurricane, we decided to head west, and spent a few days in Asheville, NC and a couple of days in Charlottesville, VA. Those beautiful cities welcomed us with lots of sunshine, and we enjoyed visits to pet-friendly breweries, vineyards, and lots of outdoor tours.
If there is one thing I learned on that trip is that sometimes you think you have everything under control…until you don’t. Just follow the new path, and don’t let anything upset you.
