BASIC SUMMER ESSENTIALS
With summer right around the corner, it is time to start checking out a few of the essentials. Big straw hats are a huge trend right now AND they protect your skin from the sun (a must for avoiding future wrinkles). You can look super chic and protect your face at the same time – double win. When it comes to beach bags, I always prefer a neutral color so that it matches with any bathing suit color. Speaking of bathing suits… it is not always easy to find a one-piece that is cute, but here is a floral one-piece that I love!! Another accessory that adds a lot of style to your outfit while protecting your eyes from UV rays are sunglasses (here are two adorable pairs that I like a lot). And remember to wear sunscreen! (I usually wear any Neutrogena sunscreen product, I like Neutrogena because they are not greasy – which is important when applying it to your face). Hopefully this coming weekend there will be no rain so that I can go down to the beach! There is something so soothing about listening to the sound of the ocean waves. 6 Super Easy & Healthy Smoothie Recipes!
There’s nothing better than doing something positive for your health first thing in the morning, when you arrive home from work, or after your workout! You can spark your metabolism & satiate your hunger with the absolutely amazing power of natural whole foods. If you would like to increase the amount of vegetables or fruits that you eat daily / weekly – you will love these quick smoothie recipes – I suggest you try them all 🙂
I highly recommend and use this blender for my smoothies:
SHOP MY FAVORITES:
VEGAN DETOX GREEN SMOOTHIE:
- 2 cups chopped pineapple
- 1 banana
- 2 cups kale (remove stems) or spinach
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 cup water
SUPER BETA CAROTENE:
- 2 cups chopped cantaloupe
- 1 banana
- 2-3 chopped carrots
- 1 tangerine (optional)
- 1/2 tbsp. chopped ginger
- 1 cup coconut water or water or almond milk
- 2 tbsp flax-seed
MORNING OATS & BERRIES:
- 1 packet Quaker instant oatmeal
- 1 cup cashew milk
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup blackberries (optional)
- 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
FRUITS & VEGGIES BLEND:
- 1 cup chopped strawberries
- 1/2 a carrot
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1 banana
- 1/3 of a cucumber
- 1 cup soy milk
- 2 tbsp flax-seed
- add a little cranberry juice
AFTERNOON BLUEBERRY SPINACH:
- 1 banana
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1 cup blueberries
- 2/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup coconut or almond or soy milk
- 1 tbsp honey
APPLE STRAWBERRY:
- 1 apple, cored (I do not peel it)
- 1.5 cups strawberries
- 1 cup almond, cashew or soy milk
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (strawberry, plain or vanilla)
- 2 tsp honey

These easy to make smoothies are high in vitamins A and C, others contain anti-inflammatory properties, some possess antioxidants, and others help balance the blood-sugar. I have so many smoothie recipes that I prepare on a weekly basis, these are from these past few weeks. I hope that this post encourages you to eat more fruits & veggies, feel free to share!

A White, Coral & Ivory Summer Outfit
Happy Saturday! This post was supposed to go up yesterday, but because of the shorter work week, I worked longer hours Tuesday – Friday & did not even make it to the gym! I missed my favorite zumba & boot-camp class! (That will get fixed this week).
The entire month of May has been quite busy, my cousins and a few friends flew in from out of town. This is one of the outfits that I wore during their time here. To create the look I paired a skirt & a top that I’ve had for a while. I usually wear the skirt with a sheer white sleeveless blouse (for a very delicate look), but I got bored with that, so I was trying to brighten the skirt up.
Why didn’t I think of this combination before is what I want to know!?! White + Coral + Ivory look fantastic together. To match the soft tone of the outfit I finished the look with nude/gold accesories…

Observen su conjunto entero en color blanco – queda tan elegante y prolijo. Por lo general ella domina el ‘street-style’ bastante bien y sin mucho esfuerzo – y este conjunto no es una excepción. Ya que el verano empieza pronto y que el color blanco es una gran tendencia, ustedes también pueden recrear y ponerse este look. Afternoon Tea at the Miami Biltmore Hotel
On Sunday I spent the afternoon at the gorgeous Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida. One of my sisters is getting married next year, so her wedding festivities officially began that day. She invited her bridesmaids for an Afternoon Tea at the Biltmore’s magnificent lobby, alongside live harp music (beautiful!). My sister explained the schedule of events, as well as what she has in mind for her big day coming up. We had such a lovely time, and the weather was perfect as you can see in these images (no rain at all).
The afternoon tea was quite an experience – if you ever visit South Florida, I highly recommend coming to see the hotel’s grounds, as well as sitting down for tea, pastries, and scones (as soft & delicious as the ones that my grandma used to make). Two restaurants located within the hotel that I recommend are Palme d’Or for French fine dining, and Fontana Restaurant for Italian fine dining – both are truly exquisite. The Biltmore Hotel is also a very popular venue for weddings/destination weddings.
Now let’s talk about this little aqua dress! The details in the back are beautiful, and I thought it was perfect for the kick-off of my sister’s wedding festivities. I love the aqua color (and received so many compliments on it!) – I think this color can look great on all skin tones. The dress fits comfortably, and I really like how it flairs out.
My shoes are from Coach, and I’ve worn them in a few previous blog posts. Not only do they match almost everything, but they also provide height and are comfortable.
PS: I had the White Tea – so good 🙂

Look of the Day: All Lace Dress
I love lace, and I love this dress! It is the prettiest off-white color and it fits great. The dress that I am sharing today is Express’ Baroque Lace Dress in the color ivory. This style of dress you can wear everywhere, I have worn it to a girl friend’s baby shower, to a big holiday dinner & a few times even to work. If you pair a light colored lace dress with a black blazer / jacket and black pumps you have a super chic outfit for the office. You can also pair a lace dress with nude shoes / purse, or add a pop of color and match it with red heels. Below you will find that I linked a few beautiful lace dresses!!! I’d love to get all three! Amo el encaje, y me encanta este vestido. Tiene un color delicado y calza muy bien. El vestido que les estoy compartiendo hoy es de la marca Express en color marfil. Este estilo se puede usar en todas partes, yo ya me lo he puesto para el baby-shower de una amiga, a una fiesta grande y algunas veces incluso al trabajo. Si combinan un vestido de encaje de color claro con un blazer negro y unos zapatos elegantes en color negro – logran un traje súper chic para la oficina. También pueden combinar un vestido parecido a éste con zapatos / bolso en tono neutro, o añadir un toque de color y agregar unas sandalias de taco alto en color rojo. WORK STYLE: GOLD CARDI & PENCIL SKIRT
Hi babes, happy monday, I wish you all got to rest! Today I am sharing a soft toned outfit for work that I repeat quite often. An all neutral outfit works fantastic during the spring time. To create the look I paired a basic pencil skirt with a nude top and a short cardigan.
I have gotten so much use out of this cute little cardigan. It has a glittery / shiny color (you can shop the same exact cardigan below), making the outfit super elegant and sophisticated.
Now let’s talk about the shoes – they have silver thread on the top – and match so perfectly with the skirt – incredible! Both the skirt and the shoes have an identical design. I hope that this post inspires you to create an office look that is other than the usual all black or black + white.

FALDA BLANCA PARA LA PRIMAVERA
Esta falda amorosa es una prenda clave para esta primavera! Se van a sentir súper femeninas en cuanto se pongan una falda blanca como esta, no importa al lugar que vayan. Me encanta el look fresco que brinda el color blanco. Esta versión amplia es una de las tantas de esta tendencia y combina perfectamente con blusas o camisetas por igual. Si combinan la falda con una blusa de un color fuerte se asegurarán de que todos los ojos estén puestos en ustedes! Yo me puse esta falda para un evento al que tuve que asistir hace menos de dos semanas. Si me siguen en Instagram pueden ver cómo quedó el conjunto… (Me puse esta falda con la camisa rosada de este post). Pueden apretar en ese post para ver un conjunto similar al que les comparto hoy – pero con una falda estilo lápiz. Aparte de fiestas o eventos, este conjunto se podría llevar al trabajo – siempre y cuando la falda llegue hasta las rodillas – para mantener un look profesional.
