Happy Thursday, everyone! The months are flying by! I truly can’t believe that Memorial Day weekend is in two days! I have been updating my wardrobe with new pieces that are easy to wear from morning to night. These TIMELESS and CLASSIC styles are just too good! High Rise Cheeky Straight Jeans: I usually wear skinny jeans, but during Spring and Summer I prefer straight jeans. I had been searching for new jeans and tried on every single pair available at GAP. These were my favorite! I love the raw hem, the light indigo wash (exactly what I wanted), and the distressed detailing. They are snug at first, but then adjust to your shape – I LOVE the fit! I sized up to a 26.

Perfect Shirt in Poplin: GAP’s classic shirts are so awesome that I got two! The fabric is super breathable, comfortable, and lightweight. I will be wearing them with shorts, jeans, and over swimsuits. I love white for summer and if you tie this shirt around your waist it looks super cute! Fits true to size, I am wearing XS.

4″ High Rise Button Fly Denim Short: Finding a good pair of denim shorts is not the easiest, at least for me! Denim shorts are my go-to item during the summer, and I wear them Monday – Sunday! These ones have the perfect length, come in a variety of colors, and are a must-have for going to the pool or the beach! You might need more than one in your summer wardrobe! I sized up to a 26.

Swim & Accessories: There are so many options to choose from at GAP! Bikinis, one-piece swimsuits, a long cover-up, beach bags, straw hats, and beach towels – all of summer’s essentials! Take a look at my favorites below!

White Summer Dress: White dresses are a huge trend right now! Since so many of you have been asking me for options, here are many cute designs that will be included in GAP’s Memorial Day Event. Which would you wear??

High Rise Jeans are back! How are you ladies liking the return of the often-called ‘mom jeans‘? They have definitely made a comeback, and after years of wearing low-rise jeans, it can be quite a change!

Although they are high-waist, I liked this pair because it has a narrow leg for a streamlined fit that is the perfect blend of comfortable and chic. The fit to wear this season is this one, it rises above the waist and finishes just above the ankle. It is easy to style for casual looks, I paired mine with a semi-sheer striped high-low shirt and then tied it on the front. My intention was to offset the stiff look the jeans have! (The shirt is now on sale).

In my opinion, it always comes down to this: wear what looks best on your body shape! There are often many trends that I ignore if I feel they aren’t flattering for my body. I am totally okay with doing that!

Here are my favorite looks from Sita Murt’s SS17 collection! Sita Murt was a Catalan fashion designer that created a fashion label focused on soft and sensual fabrics. Her SS17 lookbook was showcased last night during the second day of Barcelona Fashion Week. As usual there were a variety of textured fabrics that included knit, thin crepe cotton, and linen. The predominant colors were indigo blue, water blue, turmeric ochre, goji red and a citric touch which overruns our most natural tones as white, ecru and linen. Overall every outfit looked relaxed, delicate and with an emphasis placed on providing comfort for the modern woman. Enjoy!
