As an art lover who lives in New York, you’re in the right place to discover The Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
In today’s article, I am sharing museum details, and photos I’ve taken during my visits.
Guggenheim Museum in New York
There are four Guggenheim Museums in the world, and luckily, there is one in New York City! The other three museums are in Bilbao, Venice, and Abu Dhabi.
This iconic building, initially controversial for its unusual shape, was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It consists of a six-story, bowl-shaped main gallery to the south, a four-story “monitor” to the north, and a ten-story annex to the northeast. The museum’s building took 15 years to design and build and was completed in 1959.
The Guggenheim Museum is located at 1071 Fifth Avenue on the corner of East 89th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City.
