AN EASY & HEALTHY SMOOTHIE RECIPE: CANTALOUPE VEGGIE SMOOTHIE
Happy Monday! When it’s time to have breakfast in the morning, I like to prepare something nutritious, healthy and super quick to make. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day – so it’s important to provide your body with what it needs.
Growing up at my parent’s home, I recall hearing my dad say to us: ‘Who wants a bit of my smoothie?’ every-single-day. His favorite (and only) smoothie has been Banana + Milk. He has been preparing and drinking that same smoothie for the last TWENTY years! And it is impossible to convince him to switch it up.
To update my dad’s ‘Classic Smoothie,’ 😉 I have been mixing fruits with vegetables for years. Below you will find one easy and healthy recipe that I love!
For me, this is the easiest way to eat 3 to 6 servings of fruits & vegetables every day of the week.
For you, let it be the smoothie that helps you jump-start your day. Prepare & enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:





DIRECTIONS:
Place the ingredients inside the blender.
- 2 peeled and chopped slices of cantaloupe
- 1 fresh peeled banana
- 3/4 of a carrot
- 1 cup of Silk Cashew Unsweetened Vanilla Milk
- 1 or 2 tbsp of Whole Ground Flaxseed Meal
Process in the blender for 10 seconds or until smooth.
** Optional: Almond Milk or Soy Milk (instead of Cashew Milk). Agave nectar, raw honey, or other liquid sweetener, optional. Ice cubes.

6 Super Easy & Healthy Smoothie Recipes!
There’s nothing better than doing something positive for your health first thing in the morning, when you arrive home from work, or after your workout! You can spark your metabolism & satiate your hunger with the absolutely amazing power of natural whole foods. If you would like to increase the amount of vegetables or fruits that you eat daily / weekly – you will love these quick smoothie recipes – I suggest you try them all!
SHOP MY FAVORITES:
VEGAN DETOX GREEN SMOOTHIE:
2 cups chopped pineapple / 1 banana / 2 cups kale (remove stems) or spinach / 1 cup coconut milk / 1/2 cup water
SUPER BETA CAROTENE:
2 cups chopped cantaloupe / 1 banana / 2-3 chopped carrots / 1 tangerine (optional) / 1/2 tbsp. chopped ginger / 1 cup coconut water or water or almond milk / 2 tbsp flax-seed
MORNING OATS & BERRIES:
1 packet Quaker instant oatmeal / 1 cup cashew milk / 1 banana / 1/2 cup blueberries / 1/2 cup blackberries (optional) / 1/3 cup Greek yogurt / 2 tbsp chia seeds
FRUITS & VEGGIES BLEND:
1 cup chopped strawberries / 1/2 a carrot / 1 handful of spinach / 1 banana / 1/3 of a cucumber / 1 cup soy milk / 2 tbsp flax-seed / add a little cranberry juice
AFTERNOON BLUEBERRY SPINACH:
1 banana / 1 handful of spinach / 1 cup blueberries / 2/3 cup plain Greek yogurt / 1/2 cup coconut or almond or soy milk / 1 tbsp honey
APPLE STRAWBERRY:
1 apple, cored (I do not peel it) / 1.5 cups strawberries / 1 cup almond or cashew or soy milk (I buy all three) / 1/2 cup yogurt (strawberry, plain or vanilla) / 2 tsp honey

These easy to make smoothies are high in vitamins A and C, others contain anti-inflammatory properties, some possess antioxidants, and others help balance the blood-sugar.
