Hi ladies, today’s post is in full bloom! Fashion’s ongoing love affair with floral prints continues for Summer 2016 with almost every clothing brand offering up various options for this iconic trend. Embrace your inner lady with these Floral Loose Fit Trousers made of a light fabric, with a relaxed fit, super comfortable, and a fantastic casual look for this time of the year. To create this look I paired the trousers with a coral silk top and nude accessories. I finished the outfit with this statement necklace that gives it a pop of luxury. This trend will not go away! – floral prints are all about enjoying fashion and having loads of fun with it. Happy 4th of July weekend…!

Custo Barcelona is an iconic fashion label that gained worldwide recognition for its unique mix of colorful graphics and prints. Custo Barcelona unveils its collections each season at New York Fashion Week. This is a brand that never ceases to impress me, particularly because of its constant creativity and innovation. For SS17 there are a lot of sheer fabrics, flowing dresses, transparencies, and a huge variety of textures that adorn each outfit.
For those of you not yet familiar with the brand, it was founded in Barcelona, Spain in the 80s, and consolidated as a brand in the 90s. Aside from the women’s collection, the label also carries a men’s line, a kid’s line, as well as accessories and shoes. Take a look at Custo Barcelona’s SS17 lookbook, my top four outfits are right below (click on each to see an enlarged version).

Here are my favorite looks from Sita Murt’s SS17 collection! Sita Murt was a Catalan fashion designer that created a fashion label focused on soft and sensual fabrics. Her SS17 lookbook was showcased last night during the second day of Barcelona Fashion Week. As usual there were a variety of textured fabrics that included knit, thin crepe cotton, and linen. The predominant colors were indigo blue, water blue, turmeric ochre, goji red and a citric touch which overruns our most natural tones as white, ecru and linen. Overall every outfit looked relaxed, delicate and with an emphasis placed on providing comfort for the modern woman. Enjoy!

Five words: Barcelona Fashion Week is here! I am so excited!! This is my fourth year sharing with you my appreciation for Spanish & Catalan designers, and this entire week I will be featuring one or two designers per day. I am starting with Justicia Ruano who showcased her latest Spring – Summer collection today during the first day of the 18th Edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion. The event took place at INEFC in Barcelona. Justicia Ruano is easily one of my favorites, her creations are luxurious, feminine and gorgeous!! Each of her pieces are quite sophisticated yet modern at the same time. By mixing textures, materials and colors she creates extravagant looks. She successfully reinvents contemporary luxury year after year, and never disappoints me. Take a look below!

Nueve palabras: La Semana de la Moda de Barcelona está aquí! ¡¡Estoy tan contenta!! Este es el cuarto año que comparto con ustedes todos los diseñadores españoles y catalanes que tanto me gustan, y durante esta semana les voy a mostrar uno o dos diseñadores por día. Empiezo con Justicia Ruano quien mostró su última colección de Primavera – Verano hoy en la 18ª edición del 080 Barcelona Fashion, que tuvo lugar en el INEFC de Barcelona.
Justicia Ruano es fácilmente una de mis favoritas, sus creaciones son lujosas, femeninas y hermosas!! Cada una de sus piezas es bastante sofisticada pero moderna al mismo tiempo. Mediante la mezcla de texturas, materiales y colores ella logra crear looks extravagantes. Justicia reinventa con éxito el lujo contemporáneo año tras año, y nunca me decepciona. Sin excepción cada vez que se lleva a cabo esta semana de la moda extraño mi vida en Barcelona y me encantaría estar allí para presenciar estos desfiles. Ojala muy pronto pueda regresar. Miren sus conjuntos!

THE GINGHAM STYLE | ZARA
Hey beauties! Here is an ultra-stylish way to wear gingham. I often stay away from this pattern but this blouse was too delicate, feminine & adorable to pass! And who else is loving the off-the-shoulder trend? This ZARA Gingham Blouse combines it all: off the shoulders, puff-ball sleeves, and bow detail, making it all the more delicate. I must confess that I wear off-the-shouler tops even when they are not in style, simply because I love how flattering they are for women. I have always been the person that wears certain trends even when they are not a ‘hot trend’ – and this is one of them. Also, I’ve noticed that the material of the blouse does not wrinkle too easily (so important!). I matched it with super basic white trousers. This look is perfect for a Sunday brunch with friends… I wore it to a birthday party. For the best chic look, pair this gingham blouse with navy, white or off-white pants. I couldn’t be more in love with an outfit! If you want to channel your inner gypsy exotic persona or if you are feeling like the queen of boho-chic… read on! A long floral dress and a felt floppy hat are a few essential pieces you need when crafting these outfits. These pieces will also maximize your wardrobe’s versatility. I recently ended up at Forever 21 where they have a huge selection of bohemian-styled dresses. The nature-inspired print, plunging neckline, v-back, and the way the entire dress flows as you walk made me love this one!! (Floral Print Maxi Dress, $27.90). If you follow me on Instagram, you probably noticed that I wore this last Saturday to a friend’s baby-shower.
To complete the outfit I wore a floppy hat which adds the perfect boho flair to it. (Floppy Hat, $19.90). What I love about this hat is that it isn’t huge, and that the color complements the dress perfectly. (Felt hats can be worn in the winter, so you can get a lot of use out of one!). And did you notice the layered charm gold necklace that I have on? When it comes to bohemian jewelry, the key is to find earth toned pieces, a statement necklace, or any layered necklace.
What about the footwear? A great option is to pair the outfit with wedges, gladiator sandals or knee-high gladiators. If you live in a city where the temperatures are still a bit cool, you can add an oversized scarf, wrap a pashmina around your shoulders, wear a denim or fringe vest, or ankle booties. An Everyday Floral Lace Shift Dress
This is one pink crochet dress that I wear probably once a month, I have gotten more use out of it than I anticipated! (to work, to multiple events & to parties). I am wearing a size “small” and it fits pretty comfortably. This one usually goes out of stock quickly, and then it is brought back in a similar soft color. At the moment it is also available in white with short sleeves – this is perfect since the Summer is about to start! 🙂 Yet it does not matter what color you get it in, it is a beautiful & unique dress!
