My parents were in town for a few days, so I took a little time off to be with them! On Saturday morning we visited The Edge, the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere located in Hudson Yards. The views of New York City from above were out of this world, be sure to check this place out whenever you visit the city. During their stay, we enjoyed dinner at Osteria del Bianco and Piccola Cucina Uptown. If you like Italian food, I highly recommend both of these restaurants.

Blue Toile Print Dress

My fiancé and I are currently celebrating our first year in New York! Exactly one year ago TODAY, we packed our rental van, and started a 1,280 mile drive from Florida to New York, with our pups!

We figured we’d make a road-trip out of it, so we reserved pet-friendly hotels in three cities along the east coast. As we got closer to Jacksonville, we learned that a mandatory evacuation (Hurricane Dorian) was ordered in the first two cities in our itinerary!!

We literally stayed 12-24 hours ahead of the hurricane the entire trip. If you’ve ever traveled with two pups, you know that finding hotels can be tricky. Because of the hurricane, we decided to head west, and spent a few days in Asheville, NC and a couple of days in Charlottesville, VA. Those beautiful cities welcomed us with lots of sunshine, and we enjoyed visits to pet-friendly breweries, vineyards, and lots of outdoor tours.

If there is one thing I learned on that trip is that sometimes you think you have everything under control…until you don’t. Just follow the new path, and don’t let anything upset you.

RED HOT DRESS FOR SUMMER

French Connection Ribbed Red Dress

Hello hello! This red hot ribbed dress with a side slit (not too high) is they type of dress I could wear every day of the week to get through Miami’s real feel temperature of 100 degrees.

My closet is full of red items because this color makes me happy! If you are not into red, I recommend this dress in black – you will get to wear it even more… The bucket bag is adorable isn’t it? I love the bucket shape way more than the round shape straw bag that everyone has.

What do you think of midi dresses, aren’t they the most comfortable piece of clothing to wear this time of the year?? I wore this outfit on Sunday to explore Española Way in the heart of South Beach!
