We have been using the UPPAbaby Vista for almost a year, so now is the perfect time for me to share a review. There are so many stroller options, so choosing the best one for your little one can be overwhelming. In this post, I am sharing our thought process and 6 reasons why we picked this one.
UPPAbaby Vista Stroller Review
We live in New York City, so a sturdy stroller to ride over curbs, sidewalks, and subway grates, was preferable. I also wanted something easy to maneuver and a large basket on the bottom to carry groceries, this diaper bag, and my items.
We were also into the Bugaboo Donkey and UPPAbaby Cruz, but the UPPAbaby Vista ultimately won us over, and here is why.

6 Reasons We Chose The UPPAbaby Stroller for NYC Living
UPPAbaby Vista Stroller – Key Features
The UPPAbaby Vista V3 includes a bassinet attachment and grows with your child. We enjoyed the bassinet from the minute our little girl came home, during our daily walks, weekly coffee runs, and weekend outings all year round.
1. Smooth Suspension & High Quality: Every ride has been smooth thanks to the enhanced all-wheel suspension and the size of the wheels.
2. One-Step Standing Fold: The stroller folds easily with the toddler seat attached and stands upright when folded for compact storage.
3. Oversized Storage Basket: I love that the basket is enormous, it’s one of the largest in the market, with a 30 pd weight limit allowing for storage of groceries and essentials.
4. Foot Petal Parking Brake: The brake is conveniently located and easier to use than other strollers, you push down to lock, and push again to release.
5. Versatile & Expandable for 2 Children: This stroller fits two children, and can accommodate three with this ride-along board that attaches to the back of the stroller.
6. Compatible with the Nuna PIPA Aire RX Car Seat: We picked this car seat when we were looking at strollers, knowing that this adapter makes the Nuna car seat effortlessly compatible with UPPAbaby Vista or Cruz strollers gave us peace of mind.

UPPAbaby Vista Bassinet
Bassinets for your baby’s first 6 months are an absolute must-have because they allow babies to lay completely flat which is the safest position for healthy spinal development and proper breathing.
A bassinet was a non-negotiable for me for the reasons I just mentioned, and because it allows for better sleep during outings.

The UPPAbaby Vista bassinet comes with an extendable, UPF 50+ sunshade and mesh panels for airflow, a bug shield, and a mattress, and it is suitable from birth to 20 pounds.
Our bassinet is still impeccable and looks brand new thanks to these thick waterproof liners I always used on the bassinet’s mattress. My sister recommended these, and I cannot recommend them enough (you can see the liner in the image above).
The bassinet costs USD 199, and the dimensions are 30.25″L x 16.6″W x 24.75″H.
I have seen people use the bassinet indoors, but we didn’t. I opted for this pack-n-play that is still useful! It’s been in our dining room since our baby arrived home, and I love how it provides an easy-to-reach and easy-to-view spot for our baby. We’ve used it for traveling too!
If you choose to use the bassinet indoors, this bassinet stand is available for your home, to keep it off the floor. It snaps in easily and costs USD 159.
UPPAbaby Vista Stroller – Accessories
There are so many useful accessories for this stroller like this stroller organizer (I like the detachable bag with a zipper), basket cover to protect your belongings, portable fan for hot summer days, rain cover to shield your baby’s face from wind, rain and snow, footmuff to keep your baby warm, and hand muffs for the winter that I love using to protect my hands. These last two are needed only if you live up north where it gets cold.

Is the UPPAbaby Vista Stroller worth it?
The hype is real. After using the UPPAbaby Vista Stroller for about a year, we would say it was everything we hoped it would be. The stroller is SO SMOOTH and extremely easy to maneuver, and I find the large basket at the bottom incredibly useful. The extendable handlebar allows people of all heights to push the stroller easily.
We did not intend to travel much during our baby’s first year, so the fact that this stroller is not the most travel-friendly was not an issue for us. We got the Cybex Libelle Travel Stroller for traveling, but it’s still in its box.
I’ve walked hundreds of miles with the stroller, to get groceries, the pharmacy, and appointments. We’ve walked all over the city over the weekend to coffee shops, restaurants, and attractions. We even went apple picking on a farm.
Now that my baby is no longer using the bassinet, I love the height of the stroller seat, so I don’t have to bend down to reach my baby. It’s a beautiful stroller!

A final note!
The main difference between the UPPAbaby Vista and the Cruz stroller is that the Vista grows with your family, can convert from a single stroller to a double stroller, and can even accommodate three children. The Cruz is only a single stroller, but you can purchase this riding board for an older child.
Another big difference is the size, the UPPAbaby Vista is larger than the Cruz by around 3 inches, both when folded and unfolded. In terms of weight, the Vista is 27 pounds, and the Cruz is 25.5 pounds.
Like the Vista, the Bugaboo Donkey is another high-quality stroller that can grow with your family. Both strollers are easy to maneuver and have large baskets. The main differences are the cost, how they convert from single to double, and how they fold.
Overall, I like that the Vista is bigger – it has bigger wheels, a bigger basket, comes with a bassinet, and is easier to fold. In my opinion, the Vista is a winner!
