There’s nothing better than doing something positive for your health first thing in the morning, when you arrive home from work, or after your workout! You can spark your metabolism & satiate your hunger with the absolutely amazing power of natural whole foods. If you would like to increase the amount of vegetables or fruits that you eat daily / weekly – you will love these quick smoothie recipes -I suggest you try them all!
VEGAN DETOX GREEN SMOOTHIE:
2 cups chopped pineapple / 1 banana / 2 cups kale (remove stems) or spinach / 1 cup coconut milk / 1/2 cup water
SUPER BETA CAROTENE:
2 cups chopped cantaloupe / 1 banana / 2-3 chopped carrots / 1 tangerine (optional) / 1/2 tbsp. chopped ginger / 1 cup coconut water or water or almond milk / 2 tbsp flax-seed
MORNING OAT & BERRIES:
1 packet Quaker instant oatmeal / 1 cup cashew milk / 1 banana / 1/2 cup blueberries / 1/2 cup blackberries (optional) / 1/3 cup Greek yogurt / 2 tbsp chia seeds
FRUITS & VEGGIES BLEND:
1 cup chopped strawberries / 1/2 a carrot / 1 handful of spinach / 1 banana / 1/3 of a cucumber / 1 cup soy milk / 2 tbsp flax-seed / add a little cranberry juice
AFTERNOON BLUEBERRY SPINACH:
1 banana / 1 handful of spinach / 1 cup blueberries / 2/3 cup plain Greek yogurt / 1/2 cup coconut or almond or soy milk / 1 tbsp honey
APPLE STRAWBERRY:
1 apple, cored (I do not peel it) / 1.5 cups strawberries / 1 cup almond or cashew or soy milk (I buy all three) / 1/2 cup yogurt (strawberry, plain or vanilla) / 2 tsp honey
These easy to make smoothies are high in vitamins A and C, others contain anti-inflammatory properties, some possess antioxidants, and others help balance the blood-sugar.
