How to Style Yellow This Fall
I just returned from spending a few days in New York, and in New Jersey for Thanksgiving Day.
Although the temperature was in the low 20s, this Florida girl had a beautiful time. New York City during Autumn looks absolutely gorgeous, the holiday lights around Rockefeller Center make the city look quite magical.
Around Columbus Circle, the trees are covered with little lights – it looks so pretty! We enjoyed music at Dizzy’s Jazz Club – does anybody else love jazz?? We had previously gone there in August, and I truly enjoyed the music and ambiance, so we returned once again. You can order dinner there (prices are reasonable), or you may eat downstairs at Whole Foods where there is a spot that serves amazing Ramen (note: It closed in 2020).
Since I was staying on Central Park West, I got to see the set-up for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, but it was way too cold to stand outside to watch it.
Now a final note about this yellow cashmere turtleneck that kept me warm during this trip, I also purchased it in grey and red (it is available in 17 beautiful colors).
If you need soft and cozy turtlenecks this winter, I highly recommend this one. Talk soon, Xx.

THE BEST TEDDY COATS TO WEAR ALL WINTER
WHO ELSE LOVES TEDDY COATS!? Teddy coats are super soft, affordable & popular. Living in Miami they are not very necessary, but as I am travelling to New York City quite often now, I decided to grab one. I spent the first few days of November up in NYC… loved walking around Central Park and seeing the leaves changing colors, and loved wearing my Fall outfits!!!
I landed on Thursday night, and an Uber took me from the airport to Dakota Bar on the Upper West Side (beautiful lounge / bar!). That first night I was wearing a light dress, black boots, and this teddy coat on top. On Friday, it warmed up, but then on Saturday the temperature suddenly dropped, so I wore it out to dinner, over an ivory midi-dress with long sleeves.
It kept me super warm even though I was wearing heels! On Sunday the temperature dropped even more, into the 40s, and by Monday I was back in 80 degree weather, haha. This blush teddy coat is inexpensive, soft, and perfect to wear for any night out. It absolutely saved me that weekend!

Visiting New York City | Walking Central Park
Hello from the Big Apple! I decided to take a week off my hectic work schedule and fly up to visit my brother who’s been living in New York City since last autumn. I also have college friends and one of my cousins that live here, and the weather is not too cold. It all worked out so great.
Let’s talk about Central Park – how gorgeous is this park!! I ate Belgian waffles right outside the entrance of the park. Then I walked over to Bergdorf Goodman for lunch with girlfriends.
I’ve been making the MOST of this week – for once, a week just for myself (this never happens!).
And I’ve been having dinner twice per night – an early dinner with friends and then a late dinner with my brother who gets out of work very late. This has been a great way to try NYC’s restaurants 😉 Below are the places that I ate at, and loved:
- Catch Restaurant (dinner)
- Eataly (lunch)
- Jack’s Wife Freda (dinner)
- Bergdorf Goodman 7th floor (lunch)
- Ippudo (dinner)
- Chelsea Market Los Tacos (lunch)
- Italian Restaurant (lunch)

New York City | Blooming Tulips
Although I have been to New York City before, I had never noticed the number of tulips there this time of year. Flower shops are full of tulips, and Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village has tons of tulips as well. I am just taking it all in – and loving it!!!
My life took an unexpected turn recently, yet I am convinced that it is a positive one, and with time it will show me that too. This trip is one that I had scheduled a while ago yet I could not have timed it better. As I always love to say, life is full of positive surprises 😉
Hope you are having a wonderful day!
Xoxo, Flora
